Um. I just listened to "Boston". Very alien-like!

Boston had a very unique sound when they first arrived on the scene in the mid-late seventies.
Initially it made them very popular, but by the 3rd album it wasn't quite so exciting any more.
Still, their first album especially was definitely 'Classic Rock'.

Maybe that is because it was 8 years after their second album and everyone forgot who they were. It still went 4x Platinum. Not bad for a group that is not to exciting any more.

Rockman certainly makes a good point. 8 years between their 2nd and 3rd album. and another 8 years between their 3rd and 4th album. 18 years between their 1st and 4th albums - that's an entire generation.

I saw them twice in the 70's. They were a really good band, but they had lots of internal problems. I was looking forward to seeing them this summer before Brad killed himself. It was really to bad he could not fight off his inner demons.
